The B.Sc (IT) program offers a wide range of subjects throughout the six semesters which touch upon mathematical abilities, statistical concepts and computer programming (C-language to Adv. Java). The curriculum is designed to focus on three main sectors viz. Programming, Data Analytics,and Artificial Intelligence. The overall objective is regularly updating the syllabus is to equip the students to be industry-ready and get placed immediately after graduation.

With a well established B.Sc (IT) program already in place, running successfully for more than a decade, The Information Technology department of St. Xavier's College, has now designed a cutting edge course in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. 

A relatively new but quickly expanding area, data science offers students both more focused educational mobility in a specialized area and fascinating job options. Students enrolled in the B.Sc. degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence will gain a foundational understanding of three distinct but connected fields of: Data Science, Statistics, and Mathematics.

MSc in Big Data Analytics is a course that is in collaboration with TCS - Tata consultancy services one of India's largest IT services companies. Padma Shri Dr. Bimal Roy, former Director, Indian Statistical Institute has developed the curriculum for Big Data Analytics in collaboration with TCS. The initiative taken by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has made remarkable strides in shaping the talent capability aligned to data analysis, business requirements and to accrue seamless mutual benefits for the world of academics and industry.
